First Japanese Cultural Exchange Festival

WORLD TOURISM DAY 1 new

Bohol Tourism Office spearheads the yearly celebration of National Tourism Week in the Province of Bohol concurrently with the celebration of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) World Tourism Day which falls on every 27th day of September. This year bears the theme: “One Billion Tourists, One Billion Opportunities”.  Incidentally, 2015 is also the 50th year of the JICA Volunteer Program in the Philippines. In line with this, BTO with the Japan International Cooperating Agency (JICA) Volunteers will organize an activity entitled “1st Japanese Cultural Exchange Festival in Bohol”.

In association with Japan International Cooperating Agency (JICA) Volunteers, Bohol Tourism Office plans and recognizes a number of activities and coordinated with the academe, local government units (LGUs) and private sectors to realize the following:

  • “Five-senses” workshops
  • Japanese food cooking demonstration
  • The arts of using Chopsticks – The Chopsticks Challenge
  • Yukata fashion show
  • Japanese Animation film showing
  • Japanese Music and Arts show
  • Educational tour for JICA resource persons and volunteers
