Antequera Basket Weaving
Antequera is famously known for its basket weaving industry. It is the major source of livelihood. Basket weaving skills has been passed down from older generations to younger generations in Antequera since 1900s.

There is no common production center, therefore all weavings are done in the respective homes of the weavers.
The bulk of their orders come from Cebu, then Manila and with small percentage coming from local buyers. Many of the resorts in Pnglao island use the baskets as part of their interior design. Boholanos love their baskets and use their baskets as part of their every day lives.
